- Here's what Kate's Clients Have to Say -
When we moved toward the end of my pregnancy and had to rehire a doula I was terrified we wouldn't find anyone as great as the doula we had already been with. Thankfully we found Kate and from the first meeting we knew she was going to be the right fit. Kate is a wonderful listener, has a peaceful joyful energy, and is full of knowledge. From pregnancy to postpartum Kate offered more than the knowledge you could gain from books, I know I read at least 2 dozen. She had wonderful tips to share to make pregnancy, birth, and after care easier. Also she offers all the extras you can imagine needing/wanting, she even provided snacks in the hospital for my Celiac husband who would have otherwise had very limited food options.
My labor started with my water breaking and as I was GBS+ I ended up at the hospital for nearly all of my 36 hour labor. This was heartbreaking for me as I was going for my VBAC and was hoping to arrive pushing. Kate was there the whole time with a warm smile and reassurance that things were going okay. Kate was great at offering support, but more importantly asking me what I wanted/needed even when things weren't going the way I had planned. I did go on to have my beautiful healing VBAC nearly 9lb baby with a 15" head. Even after a long labor Kate stayed to make sure we were settled before heading home. We were lucky to experience Kate at the beginning of her Doula journey and I am confident she will only continue to grow and be even more amazing with every birth.

Our experience with Kate was nothing short of AMAZING! Although we didn't get to utilize her talents fully, due to a 20 minute delivery, Kate was with our family every step of the way; before, during, and after. She gave confidence in myself and my husband and we are truly thankful. I cannot wait to use her skills the next time around. I would strongly suggest anyone considering a Doula to consider Kate.

Finding Kate was truly a blessing. My husband and I often tell people how lucky we were to have Kate be a part of the birth of our beautiful son. From the first meeting we knew Kate was going to be amazing and she was - every step of the way.
She's kind, patient, smart, and thoughtful - all the things you want in someone who is helping you through such a life changing event. You would also be lucky to have Kate be a part of your birth story.

My husband and I were a little unsure about whether we would hire a doula until we met Kate. She was warm, understanding, a good listener and knowledgeable, and as soon as she walked out of the door my husband said to me "I still don't know about hiring a doula, but I do know I want to hire Kate." And we haven't regretted our decision since. Kate was amazing before, after and during the birthing process. She helped me make a birth plan and then prepared me for the scary reality that things will not all go according to that plan. My little one was sunny side up after my water broke and she helped with exercises to get him flipped around in the correct direction. And when I was rushed into an emergency cesarean, she was there to calm my mom. In addition to serving as a birth coach, there are so many amazing, unique services that Kate offers including care packages for the hospital and survival kits for breastfeeding moms, and a personalized birth story. She'll even come do laundry, walk your dog or bring you a meal! I highly, highly recommend Kate! You won't regret it!

When I was pregnant with my son I wanted to choose the doula that would be the most helpful in getting me through the highs and lows of labor. It was especially important to me that this person be compassionate, comforting and most importantly someone who could push me through in my most straining moments of labor. Kate was all of these things and more! She was professional to a T, kept an open line of communication in my weeks before going into labor and provided so much additional support that made it a breeze to survive the days following childbirth. I was in labor for 32 hours beginning in the wee hours of the night. Kate came over very early into my labor as I was excited and thought I was moving along quickly, that was absolutely not the case. Hour by hour of my long, tedious labor Kate was by my side rubbing my back, helping me position my baby, giving me words of encouragement and mantras to cope through contractions, applying lip balm, grabbing me water, anything I required the moment to be comfortable. There were even times where I just wanted to sleep through contractions and rest, Kate kept me comfortable enough to do so. When my home birth turned into a hospital birth, Kate made the transfer much more pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised to find she had packed things for me that I didn't think to bring- like my robe, a pillow from my bed, slippers and other essentials. She stayed with me until I was transferred into my postpartum room and followed up a couple of days after we got home from the hospital. She brought me dinners and some wonderful goodies for breastfeeding. I am so glad I chose Kate to be my doula and I would refer all of my friends and family members to her when it's their turn to have their babies. Kate is an outstanding doula!
